By day, Caroline is a writer for Los Angeles County, taking her seven years of covering cities, education and arts and culture for newspapers to civil service. By night, she can be found completing one of many activities including: scouring food blogs to find her next cooking inspiration, catching up on her favorite reality TV shows, and flipping through fashion websites and magazines to find items to add to her growing wardrobe. She kickboxes and trains four times a week at her favorite kickboxing studio, and is currently researching her next marathon. She is short, but she can probably roundhouse kick you out the door.
She's a fan of 19th century British literature (loved reading and writing research papers so much she got her BA in English Literature from NYU). She has two fabulous brothers, loving parents, a hip sister-in-law and an adorable niece and nephew. She's also very happy to be marrying Mason, and excited he's going to be joining her loud and spontaneous Korean family!
Mason currently works in communications and media relations at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. His previous career as a reporter took him numerous places, from four state prisons to the 2001 Grammy Awards ceremony. You can decide which was worse. He graduated from UCLA with a degree in American Literature and Culture, and earned an MFA in creative writing from Mills College in Oakland. While quite thin, he can probably do more push-ups than you.
When not fulfilling the obligations of Caroline's social calendar, Mason can be seen reading or working on one of the half-dozen writing projects living in his Google docs folder. He is a book snob, music snob, and movie snob who typically orders a Bombay Sapphire gin and tonic when out. His family loves Caroline and is pleased to welcome her into the family.
